Introduction to alphabets using simple cvc words.
Reading:
Breaking up the word into the phonetic sounds of the alphabet. Building words using lower case letters. Matching written words to pictures or the spoken word.
Writing: using fingers in a besan and water mixture... texture and hand movements.
Can also use poster colours.
A wet mop.
Counting activities will use a clothes clip or small countable things like beads or channa... to get the tripod grip or the 3 finger hold.
We can simultaneously work on small pieces of crayon and introduce standing line, sleeping line, square, plus, circle, slanting line, triangle.
Math: number 1 to 10. Counting, number recognition, Counting physical objects, matching number of objects to a number. Numbers and the cvc words...3 cats, 4 dogs, etc.
Vocabulary: each lesson can include an introduction to a colour. Which can used for colouring the cvc word pictures or Counting 3 green cats.
